HT & LT Transmission Lines

Erection and stringing of 11 kV, 33 kV and EHV overhead lines on rail, tubular and PSC poles, from survey through to charging.

Voltage range11 kV – 220 kV

Overhead line construction is the discipline Ranisons has done more of than any other — over 400 km of 11 kV line, 100 km of 33 kV line and 200 km of LT line under the Jharkhand State Electricity Board’s rural electrification and Accelerated Development Programme schemes, plus industrial feeders for coal washeries, castings works and food processing plants.

Notable packages include an 8.5 km 33 kV incoming line from P/S/S Sikidri to Jharkhand Mega Food Park (₹396 lakh), an 11 kV DVC line on rail poles for Electrosteel Castings (₹200 lakh, project completion certificate on file), and a 33 kV line on 13 m rail poles for Monnet Daniels Coal Washeries (₹210.46 lakh).

Method

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Route survey & profiling

Alignment survey, profile plotting, tower or pole spotting and right-of-way assessment.

  2. 02

    Approvals & liaison

Statutory clearances and utility approvals — on several contracts we have carried this risk within our own scope.

  3. 03

    Foundation & pole erection

Excavation, foundations and erection of rail, tubular or PSC poles to the specified spans.

  4. 04

    Stringing

Conductor stringing, sagging to approved tension charts, and fitting of insulators and hardware.

  5. 05

    Testing & charging

Continuity and insulation testing, earthing checks, and charging under utility supervision.

Questions

Frequently asked

What voltage levels do you work at?

We have executed lines at every level from 415 V up to 220 kV, including 11 kV and 33 kV distribution, and staffing of 220/132/33 kV grid substations.

Which pole types can you supply and erect?

Rail, tubular and PSC poles. We are one of the region's established pole suppliers, so the pole type is selected on engineering grounds rather than on availability.

How much line have you built?

Over 400 km of 11 kV line, 100 km of 33 kV line and 200 km of LT line under the JSEB rural electrification and A.D.P. schemes alone, alongside private industrial contracts.
