The incoming feed for the Jharkhand Mega Food Park campus: approximately 8.5 km of 33 kV line run from the Sikidri power substation to the park’s own 33/11 kV substation at Getalsud.

The work was executed under the supervision of the Jharkhand State Electricity Board, which issued its completion certificate vide letter no. 954 dated 21.09.2013. The client subsequently confirmed in writing that the work was completed within the stipulated timeframe and to their entire satisfaction.

How a 33 kV line gets from survey to charged

Overhead line and lighting along the corridor at dusk
  1. Survey

    Alignment walked and pegged, way-leave settled, and foundation pits opened at every structure position.

  2. Erection

    Structures raised and grouted, cross-arms fitted, and pin and disc insulators mounted.

  3. Stringing

    Conductor run out span by span, then pulled to the specified sag and clamped in.

  4. Charging

    Earthing checked, insulation tested, and the line charged under the utility’s supervision.
