Rural Electrification

Distribution networks under R/E and A.D.P. schemes — 33/11 kV substations, distribution substations, LT networks and service connections.

Voltage range415 V – 33 kV

Rural electrification is where Ranisons operates at its largest physical extent. Under the Jharkhand State Electricity Board’s Rural Electrification and Accelerated Development Programme schemes we erected and commissioned more than 400 km of 11 kV line, 100 km of 33 kV line, 200 km of LT line, seven 33/11 kV power substations and 300 distribution substations.

Scheme work rewards a contractor who can hold several work fronts open at once. Materials, gangs and vehicles have to be staged across districts, in terrain where access — not engineering — is usually the binding constraint.

Method

How we deliver

  1. 01

    Scheme survey

Village-level survey, load assessment and network design against the sanctioned scheme.

  2. 02

    Material mobilisation

Transformers, poles, conductor and hardware staged across multiple work fronts.

  3. 03

    Distribution substations

Erection of DSS structures, transformer placement, protection and earthing.

  4. 04

    LT network & connections

LT line erection, service connections and metering.

  5. 05

    Commissioning

Testing, charging and handover to the distribution utility.

Questions

Frequently asked

What scale of rural electrification work have you delivered?

Under the JSEB R/E and A.D.P. schemes we erected and commissioned more than 400 km of 11 kV line, 100 km of 33 kV line, 200 km of LT line, seven 33/11 kV power substations and 300 distribution substations.

Do you work across districts simultaneously?

Yes. Scheme work is a logistics exercise as much as an engineering one — we hold materials, gangs and vehicles on multiple fronts concurrently, which is how the JSEB programme was delivered.
